In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the BSO was at a standstill to deliver live music to crowds. When the group was finally able to perform in front of live audiences again, the campaign called for visual verve and humanity. I crowdsourced textures from the musicians themselves—they were given a packet of ink, transparencies, paper, and limited direction. They used their hands, instruments, and personal creativity to deliver amazing patterns that were then vectorized. These patterns carry with them a sense of rhythm, feeling, and human imperfection that augments any musical experience. LIVE.
