Human centric logo design & branding

Honoring the ethos of a brand within visual design and communication is the first step towards a successful project. Working collaboratively with Hastings Strategic Communication on content and North Star language solidified a brand based on human voice, co-creation, expertise, and process. Honoring the patient’s voice within a system of healthcare that is otherwise daunting is something that is integral to the mission of Birth Story Obstetrics. Including that humanity in the design elements and photography allowed us to materialize a logo mark and brand package that feels alive, never stagnant—it also alludes to the ever changing waters of the Bellingham Bay. As a universal symbol of birth, water plays an important role both in pregnancy and in the ecosystem of our community.
